Supporter Experience at Mitsubishi Motors Badminton

A day out at the Mitsubishi Motors Badminton Horse Trials on cross country day is always great fun, but 15 British Eventing members and their guests were lucky enough to win a supporter experience to enhance their day thanks to a competition run by British Eventing Life online.

Saturday morning got off to a strong start for the competition winners, with a free hearty full English breakfast in the Horse Trials Support Group marquee; setting them up for a day of course walking, shopping and spectating. This was closely followed by an exclusive talk from data expert Diarmuid Byrne from Equiratings, giving the supporters and their guests the inside scoop on who to watch and what to look out for at Badminton 2018.

With lots to think about, the supporter crew were lead out in the glorious sunshine to walk the CCI4* track with world and European champion Ginny Elliot. Talking lines, combinations and how to ride each fence, this gave a real insight into how to tackle Eric Winter's 2018 Badminton course, from someone who has ridden around this renowned track.

The lucky winners were also able to enjoy the Horse Trials Support Group marquee facilities throughout the day, including the CCTV, comfortable seating and the option to purchase a delicious lunch.

There are a number of other Supporter Experience days to look forward to in 2018; including at Houghton International Horse Trials on Friday 26th May, a members' pavilion at the Festival of British Eventing and the SsangYong Blenheim Palace Horse Trials, as well as a number of planned yard visits, and course walks throughout the season. All these experiences are open to members of British Eventing, and Supporter Membership starts at just £25 per year. Buy Supporter Membership HERE
