How to jump a corner fence
This really simple exercise from BE Accredited Coach, Lisa Morris, will help get you confidently jumping corner fences off both the left and right rein.
- First set up a single rail, it helps to use a pole with contrasting stripes, and jump the middle of the fence, then jump it again over the left of centre and also the right of centre.
- Once you can accurately jump the fence in each position as described in step one, set up a corner, using a flag in the middle to stop your horse drifting to the widest part of the corner.
- Keeping the fence small, jump the corner off both the left and right rein, working on maintaining equal straightness and accuracy on both reins
